New Project
Start with the "Project" tab.

You can use this section to track details about your website. This information is also used when submitting your website, chech rank or when generating Doorway Pages. Be sure to fill out all of the information as accurately and completely as possible. Try not to leave any of the fields blank. A blank field can cause the submission to fail on some of the Search Engines.

Select Category
Next, click the "Category" tab.
Select the category and sub-category that best describes your website. This selection is very important because it will determine where your website will be listed in Directory Search Engines.

You will see a summary page with the Search Engines that you selected. You can click a column header to sort the Engine, Status, Submit Date or URL column.
When you are ready to start the submission process, click the "Submit URLs" button on the left hand menu.
Notice that you will see a variety of status indicators at the bottom of the screen.

The "Number of URLs Submitted" shows two numbers separated by a slash. The number of the right hand side of the slash is the number of URLs (your websites) that you are submitting. The number on the left hand side of the slash is how many URLs have been completely submitted.

The "Number of Engines Completed" shows the number of Search Engines that you selected and how many have been completed in this session.

"Total Submissions" indicates how many URLs have been submitted to Search Engines and gives you the percentage of completion for the entire task.

The "Failed Search Engines" shows how many Search Engines reported a problem with the submission. This is usually caused by not having completed information in the Project tab in 1st Submit.

"Active Submissions" tells you how many Search Engines submissions are currently in progress.

"Bytes Received" is how much data 1st Submit has received during the Submission process.

The Status indicators will show clip0033when everything went as planned and your site has been submitted to the selected Search Engine.

clip0034 means that there was a problem with the submission process. Double check all of your information in the Project tab to make sure that you have filled everything out completely.

When the Status column shows clip0035 it means that 1st Submit is currently processing that particular Search Engine submission in that row.

After all of the Search Engines submissions are complete, you will see the "Submission Completed!" dialog box. Click "OK" to continue.
