When you are ready to start the submission process, click the "Submit URLs" button on the left hand menu.
Notice that you will see a variety of status indicators at the bottom of the screen.
The "Number of URLs Submitted" shows two numbers separated by a slash. The number of the right hand side of the slash is the number of URLs (your websites) that you are submitting. The number on the left hand side of the slash is how many URLs have been completely submitted.
The "Number of Engines Completed" shows the number of Search Engines that you selected and how many have been completed in this session.
"Total Submissions" indicates how many URLs have been submitted to Search Engines and gives you the percentage of completion for the entire task.
The "Failed Search Engines" shows how many Search Engines reported a problem with the submission. This is usually caused by not having completed information in the Project tab in 1st Submit.
"Active Submissions" tells you how many Search Engines submissions are currently in progress.
"Bytes Received" is how much data 1st Submit has received during the Submission process.
The Status indicators will show
when everything went as planned and your site has been submitted to the selected Search Engine.
means that there was a problem with the submission process. Double check all of your information in the Project tab to make sure that you have filled everything out completely.
When the Status column shows
it means that 1st Submit is currently processing that particular Search Engine submission in that row.
